This series is a work in progress, but I’m at a place where I’m feeling good about the progress I’ve made. These pieces are a collection of ephemera: magazine clippings, drawings, shooting targets I’ve collected over the years, and even remnants of ‘orphaned’ art from a previous job.
As a collection of works they amplify and examine how women are portrayed in media and how we have become prey, a conquest to be mounted above the fireplace. By recontextualizing images of hunters, fighters and pornography, a harsh light shines on another side of these cultures.
