At GNOME! in the Desert

Happy New Year! Meet GNOME! We are so happy to welcome this little guy into our lives, and he is certainly making himself right at home (in the desert… get it? At GNOME in the desert?)

GNOME! came to us from Waggytail Rescue, which is an organization based in NYC that facilitates the transportation and placement of small dogs set for euthanasia in crowded LA shelters. Little GNOME! was found as a stray just north of LA, missed his flight to NYC, and was then placed with a wonderful foster mom. He was lucky to land with such a great foster, and he even ended up with his own blend of coffee over at One Heart Coffee!

When we initially saw the post featuring GNOME! we were still thinking of adopting a female just a little larger than GNOME! We met a girl at a local Joshua Tree shelter, but she wasn’t quite right for us. Then we saw little GNOME! pop up on our feeds, still needing a home, and we knew it was meant to be. We drove out to Hollywood to meet the little man and began the process to officially welcome him into our home.

Now GNOME! has been with us for a few weeks and he’s settling in with ease. Slowly starting to find his voice, he’ll be a great alarm dog! He loves treats, is learning to play with his toys, smells like Fritos and raclette, and is slowly warming up to new furry friends. He’s even been to two gallery openings!
