Postcards From My Grandfather

If you have followed my blog or my art for any reasonable amount of time, you know that postcards are a big part of my work. I think mail art is wonderful, and I also think the simple act of sending a postcard can bring someone so much joy.

I can attribute my love of postcards to my grandfather and grandmother, who whenever they would travel, would send me or the family a postcard from their trip. I’ve kept these (and so many more) with me over the years, and in honor of his recent passing, I wanted to share some highlights with you.

Travel may seem like a distant memory and an even more distant future, but we should all make a point to pick up some postcards on our next trip, buy some stamps to support the USPS, and send some vacationland greetings to our friends and family.
