Desert X has descended upon the Coachella Valley once again! Yesterday Nate, GNOME! and I peeped a few of the many public art installations that are up for the next few months.
This is one of the things that drew me to the southern California deserts and I’m thrilled to be able to experience the works as a resident of the high desert. Having a new lens to experience the works through has afforded a different type of interaction and reflection.
Here, works by Kathleen Ryan, Julian Hoeber, John Gerrard, and Cara Romero. I’ll also update with images of other works I see throughout the course of Desert X.
